Dorene Laverna Petty, 51, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, formerly of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away on April 28, 2017.
Dorene was the youngest of six children born on March 19, 1966, in Wichita, Kansas, to Richard C. Petty and Alice McFall Petty McCauley.
In 1970, the Pettys moved to Aurora, Colorado, where Dorene attended Virginia Court Elementary School. In 1976, the Pettys moved to Cheyenne where her father worked for the Wyoming State Engineer’s office, his final job.
Dorene graduated from Cheyenne East High School in 1984. That fall, she relocated back to Wichita where she enrolled at Friends University. In 1995, she graduated with degrees in chemistry and botany, all while supporting herself as a paramedic. She obtained her degree in paramedicine. She studied perfusion technology as part of her master’s program.
Dorene served her fellow man through Sedgewick County EMS, Travis County EMS and Norman Regional Hospital Emergency Department. While working at Noman Regional, she found her passion and talent in teaching future EMS professionals and shared that through Tulsa Technology Center and Tulsa Community College.
Dorene is survived by her son, Matthew Patrick Petty of Tulsa; brothers, Howard Petty and wife, Kristi, of Johnsburg, IL, and James Petty and wife, Cindy, of Laramie, WY; sisters, Evelyn Aldis and husband, John, of Henderson, CO, Noni Petty Bacon and husband, Andy, of Grand Junction, CO, and Susan Petty now of Altus, OK, where she will live with Dorene’s mother, Alice McCauley and her mother’s husband, Earl.
Dorene was preceded in death by her father, Richard C. Petty, and all four of her grandparents.
Dorene was a lifelong Christian woman of the Roman Catholic tradition.
A memorial service and reception will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2017, at 9:30 a.m. at the Schrader Reception Center. Dorene will rest eternally next to her father in the Beth El Cemetery in Cheyenne.

Donna Dereemer
Donna W. Dereemer, 79, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away Sunday, June 25, 2017, surrounded by her family.
Donna was born May 14, 1938, in Ft. Collins, Colorado. She graduated from the University of Wyoming with a degree in music and taught at Goins Elementary School in Cheyenne. She was a member of Wheels, PEO, Cheyenne Symphony and various other organizations. Donna enjoyed music, quilting, writing and was a published author. She enjoyed living on a ranch in Horse Creek, Wyoming, where she raised her family. She was a loving wife and mother.
Donna is survived by husband, Joe C. Dereemer; three children, Debra (Rick) Wilson, Tamra Dereemer and Shawn (Rita) Dereemer; brother, Richard (Danna) Williams; six grandchildren, Ryan and Tyler Wilson, and Elijah, Gabi, Ethan, and Rachel Dereemer; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Kelly Dereemer.
A memorial service will be celebrated on Saturday, August 5, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. at Lakeview Chapel at Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home. A reception will immediately follow at the Schrader Reception Center.

Laura Ruth Hayes, 89, of Cheyenne passed away June 28, 2017 in Granite Rehabilitation and Wellness Center in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
Laura was born November 28, 1927, in Birmingham, Alabama, to Edward and Ruth Morgan. She married Thomas G. Hayes on July 30, 1948, in Birmingham. Laura worked as an art dealer and framer for Wild Goose Gallery. She was a member of the Wyoming Press Women.
Laura was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Edna M. Parks and Edward W. Morgan Jr.
She is survived by husband, Thomas Hayes; son, Dwight (Kathleen) Hayes; grandchildren, Susan (Matt) Schroer and Stephen (Sarah) Hayes; great-grandchildren, Lily Schroer, Kayden Schroer, Allison Hayes and Adeline Hayes; and sister, Elizabeth Bigbee of Boaz, Alabama.
A memory service will be held Tuesday, July 11, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. in Lakeview Chapel at Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home. A reception will follow at the Schrader Reception Center.

Jerry D. Ullery, 77, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away Thursday evening, June 29, 2017, at the Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. Jerry was born December 6, 1939, in Alexandria, Louisiana.
Visitation will begin on Thursday, July 6, 2017, at 9:00 a.m. in the Relief Society Room at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Four Mile Chapel with a funeral service to follow at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Four Mile Chapel.

Aron Borum, 88, passed away on June 30, 2017, in Basin, Wyoming.
Aron was born on September 24, 1928, in Coffeeville, Mississippi to Frank and Leona Borum.
Aron was preceded in death by sisters, Bernice Armstrong and Artimicher “Ollie” Jenkins; and brothers, Frank Borum and Ephriam Borum.
Aron is survived by five loving nieces, Ollie Mae Thomas, of Aurora, CO, Flora Thomas of Sacramento, CA, Dorothy Lacy of Bossier City, LA, Ella Wee Hardy of Sacramento, CA and Mildred Sprinkles of Fishers, IN; and one nephew, Anthony Jenkins of Sacramento, CA.

Ardice M. Marquiss, beloved mother, 80, of Cheyenne passed away July 5, 2017 in Cheyenne.
She was born June 9, 1937 in Kimball, NE to Arland and Jenny Person. She married Ford A. Marquiss on May 10, 1963 in Pine Bluffs, WY. She retired from the State Training School in Lander, WY. She was a member of the Wyoming Public Employees Association.
She is survived by her daughters, Julie Marquiss of Cheyenne, Shelly Marquiss of Jackson, WY and Diane Bircher of Alpine, WY; grandsons, Zachary and Randy Johnson of Cheyenne.
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.

Marlene Joyce (Reigel) Dillard, 85, of Cheyenne, passed away July 5, 2017 in Cheyenne.
She was born July 14, 1931 in Denver, Colorado to David and Elizabeth (Reichert) Reigel. She worked for many years in manufacturing as an assembly specialist.
She is survived by two brothers, Donald and David Reigel of Colorado.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Raymond Reigel of Colorado.
Marlene was loved by many friends and family and will be deeply missed.

Richard “Dick” F. Rust, 89, of Cheyenne passed away on July 16, 2017 at Davis Hospice Center. He was born July 26, 1927 in Alliance, Nebraska.
Cremation has taken place under the care of Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home, and private family services have been held.

Daniel Rounds
Daniel K. Rounds, 45, died at his home in Cheyenne on Sunday, July 16, 2017. Dan was born May 21, 1972, the son of Keith and Linnea Rounds.
He graduated from Cheyenne Central High School in 1991 and served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Lake Champlain. He was a proud veteran who loved his country.
After his military service, he was an over-the-road truck driver and part owner of the family firm, C2MR Trucking, when he suffered a debilitating stroke in 2008. Although wheel-chair bound he appreciated the outdoors at every opportunity. An avid sportsman, he shot his first wild game as a teenager and had loved the hunt from the time he was a toddler. As a hemiplegic, he still enjoyed fishing and hunting and with a hand gun successfully harvested deer, elk and antelope. He was proud of his kills and displayed several taxidermy trophies of bull elk, bull moose, stag mule and whitetail deer plus a host of mounted antlers and horns. A huge full-body mount of a mountain lion was among his treasures.
Dan was a Freemason in Acacia Lodge #11 A.F. & A.M., a 32nd Degree Mason in Wyoming Consistory #1, a Knight Templar in Wyoming Commandery #1, and a Shriner in the Korein Temple.
He is survived by his wife, Amberly; his children; Madison Laine, Morgan Daniel, Cheyenne Marie and Daisy Ann; his parents, Keith and Linnea; his sister, Paula (David Novick); niece, Destry; nephew, Dylan; aunts, Delphine Holota and Renee (Todd) Claeys; and cousins, Melanie Holota, Zacharie and Alexandra Claeys.
A masonic service with military honors will be held on Thursday, July 20, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. at the Lakeview Chapel at Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home. Daniel’s family requests casual dress for those in attendance. A reception will follow at the Schrader Reception Center.

Marianna E. Edgar, 70, passed away on July 20, 2017 surrounded by family at Davis Hospices Center in Cheyenne WY.
Marianna was born February 2, 1947 in Albuquerque, NM. to Carl F. Smith and Agnes I. Smith. Marianna was married to E. Craig Edgar on May 8, 1982 in Cheyenne, WY. Marianna worked for many years as an Assistant Sales Manager at Burri Jewelers here in Cheyenne. Marianna was an active member and past president of the Wyoming Heritage Quilters here in Cheyenne.
Marianna is survived by Craig; her husband of 35 years; five loving children; Carole Goldy (Ron), Mary C. Willoughby, Devin Edgar, Heather L Domanski (Jude), and Shayla L. Andrews; five grandchildren, Kierre, Alyssa, Torin, Corinne and Alexander and a sister Sylvia Smith. She also is survived by loving uncle, and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Carl and Agnes Smith and a sister, Susan Furrow.

Alan Wheeler
Alan G. Wheeler, 78, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away on July 21, 2017 at Davis Hospice center surrounded by family.
The son of Ada P. and Ivan “Tub” B. Wheeler. He was born on July 12, 1939 in Auburn, Nebraska, the oldest of 3 children. Alan grew up in Stella, Nebraska and attended college at Peru State where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in History and English. In 1961 he moved to Thermopolis, Wyoming to accept a position as a social studies teacher where he met the love of his life, Sharon Rose Kinsey, whom he married the next year. Their first daughter, Anna Jane, was born in 1963 and their second daughter, Tara, in 1965. The family moved to Cheyenne in 1968 when Alan accepted a position for the State Department of Education where he worked for 27 years before retiring as the Assistant Deputy Superintendent of Public Instruction. Alan was an active member of our community, having been a member of Kiwanis, Toastmasters, Phi Delta Kappa, Cheyenne Little Theater, Calvary Baptist Church, AARP, Mended Hearts, Stroke group and Friday coffee group.
Alan is survived by his loving wife, Sharon Kinsey Wheeler of Cheyenne, daughter and son in law Anna Jane “A.J.” and Phil Lane of Cheyenne; daughter and son in law, Tara and Adam Hagan of Jackson, WY ; grandchildren, Corey Wheeler and wife Brianna of Cheyenne, Thad Lane of Bismark, ND, Abby Lane of Cheyenne and Ellis Hagan of Jackson, WY; step grand children Jordan and wife Christie Lane of Argyle, TX, Jessen Lane of Denton, TX; great grandchildren Roman and Claire Wheeler of Cheyenne; step great grand children Ella and Eli Lane of Argyle, TX; sister Barb and her husband Bill Ely of Stella, NE; sister Beth Eickoff of Stella, NE; cousin Nancy Woodhams of Omaha, NE and many nieces and nephews.
Alan was preceded in death by his parents, Ada and Ivan Wheeler and brother in-law Leon Eickhoff.
Alan’s family remembers him as a gentleman and a scholar; he was an avid reader who passed on his passion for history to his grandchildren. He is remembered as loving all of the children whose lives he touched. His daughters always remember that he loved and took care of them. Alan taught the value of education to his students, family and friends.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday in the Lakeview Chapel at Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home.

Viola Bratton
Viola Pearl Allen Jenkins Bratton, 82, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, was called from labor to rest on Saturday, July 22, 2017, at the Rehabilitation and Nursing Center of the Rockies in Fort Collins, Colorado.
Viola was born December 9, 1934, in Doyline, Louisiana, to Vena and Dan Allen.
She moved to Cheyenne in 1960 and became a member of the Second Baptist Church where she served faithfully in many capacities. She loved her Lord, her church and her family. She was very proud of the fact that she received a kidney transplant in Denver, Colorado in August 1993, and that the kidney functioned until her passing. What a wonderful God we serve!
She is survived by her daughter, Catherine Fitzhugh (Rev. Ernest John Fitzhugh) of Cheyenne; son, Jeffery Wayne Jenkins (Catherine Blunt) of San Diego, CA; two grandchildren, Jeffery Wayne Jenkins, Jr. of Casper and Courtney Jenkins of Cheyenne; two great-grandchildren, Christopher Jenkins of Cheyenne and Jeremiah Jenkins of Casper; three sisters, Vertie Lee Semester of Shreveport, LA, Gertie Lee Henderson of Fort Worth, TX and Cleverna Allen of Shreveport, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, John S. Jenkins and James Bratton; her daughters, Loretta Draine, Verna Jenkins and Charlotte Jenkins; sisters, Edna King and Annie B. Musgrow; and brothers, William Murray and M.C. Gillis.

Michael Paul Bunten, 55, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away suddenly on Thursday, July 27, 2017.
Michael was born September 6, 1961, at Selfridge Air Force Base, Michigan. He graduated from Cheyenne Central High School in 1980 and received a graduate degree from the University of Northern Colorado. He married Audrey Bourg September 5, 1998. He owned Bunten Landscape. He was a former Master Counselor of Demolay.
He is survived by his mother, Paula Baldeshwiler; sisters, Cynthia (Tim) Miller, and Deborah (Allen) White; nieces and nephews, Danielle (Jose) Curo, Connor Peterson, Makenzie (Justin) Holloway, Garrett, Bridger, Delanie, Brookelynn, and Kambrie White; and numerous great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
Michael was preceded in death by his father, Gary Gaffner; adoptive father, John Bunten, Sr., stepfather, Vernon Baldeshwiler; brother, John Bunten, Jr.; great-nephew, Trent Peterson; and his grandparents.

Ret SMSgt. Charles Lord Baltimore Jr., 89, passed away on July 29, 2017 at the V. A. Medical Center in Cheyenne, WY.
Charles was born on April 5, 1928 in Winston-Salem NC to Charles and Vincent Baltimore Sr. Charles proudly served in the Air Force and worked for the federal government as a medical administrator. Charles married Lillie M. Singleton on April 18, 1951
Charles is survived by five children: Leonard Baltimore, Baton Rouge, LA., Jeffrey A. Baltimore, Laramie, WY, Lawrence(Michelle) Baltimore, Tulsa OK, Veronica(Bobby) Murray, Cheyenne WY, and Victoria Prutschke of Germany, five grandchildren: Wendashia Ray, Matthew J. Murray, Christopher Baltimore , Joshua Apodaca and Calvin Carter and a legacy of great-grandchildren.
Charles immensely loved smoking cigars. He captured beauty in many forms: pottery, ceramics and photography that adorns businesses and family members homes throughout the country. He was a member of St. Mary’s Cathedral and a former member of the Lion’s Club.
Charles was preceded in death by his loving wife Lillie, a brother Leander Baltimore and a son, Larry Jones.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday August 2, 2017 at Lakeview Chapel at Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home.

Mary Uchner
Mary Jane Uchner died July 30, 2017. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.
She was born January 9, 1932, to Harry B. and Alice Henderson, who preceded her in death. She graduated from Cheyenne High with the Class of 1950.
Jane attended college at Colorado College in Colorado Springs, the University of Colorado in Boulder and the University of Wyoming. She had a long record of being on the honor roll at those institutions.
Jane married David Uchner in October 1954. She is survived by her husband; daughters, Susan Lewis of Cheyenne and Margaret Ann Uchner of Denver, Colorado. Her surviving grandchildren and great grandchildren are Kimberly Oleske, David Oleske, Somer Dahm, Karen Medina, Lilly Medina and Kali Medina.
In college, she was President of the University of Wyoming Young Republicans and a lifetime member of the Alumni Association. She was a member of the Delta Gamma Society.
Jane considered it pure joy to spend her days as a wife, mother, grandmother and Christian. She was a devoted lifetime member of the First Presbyterian Church.
Another part of Jane was her love for Cheyenne and the Cowboy State. She was Cheyenne Frontier Days Miss Frontier in 1952. She served the community in many other ways. She was a past president of the PEO, the DePaul Hospital Guild, the Women’s Civic League and the Frontier Days WHEELS. She and a close friend started the first Civic League Christmas House in Cheyenne.
A funeral service will be held in Cheyenne at the First Presbyterian Church on Wednesday, August 2 at 2:00 p.m. with interment in Beth el Cemetery.
Memorials may be given in her memory to the Cheyenne Frontier Days Old West Museum or the American Heart Association.

Zayn Warren Mayer, 6 months, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away suddenly at his home on Saturday, July 29, 2017.
Zayn was born January 20, 2017, in Cheyenne, a son of John H. and Erin R. (Snyder) Mayer.
Zayn was the happiest and most loving child. He would always be seen with a smile on his face. The day he left us, a large rainbow was seen following a heavy rain, reminding us of his enduring love and smile.
Zayn is survived by his parents, John and Erin Mayer of Cheyenne; three siblings, Preston Stansbury, Roman Mayer and Ashlynn Mayer, all of Cheyenne; grandparents, Bob and Rose Snyder of Cheyenne and Maureen Mayer of Cheyenne; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
