Anita "Joy" Paulson
Anita J. “Joy” Paulson, 61, of Kimball, Nebraska, passed away early Monday morning, August 7, 2017, at the Davis Hospice Center in Cheyenne.
Joy was born March 11, 1956, in Longview, Washington, a daughter of the late Kenneth and Grace Louise (Gunnels) Rockne.
Joy was raised in Boise, Idaho, and she moved to Alaska with her daughter, Marcie, and her husband, Douglas Paulson, in 1993. While in Alaska, she loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed watching the Iditarod. Their family later moved to Seattle and then to Scottsbluff until their final residence in Kimball in 2007. Joy worked for a number of employers as a medical secretary. She also enjoyed numerous hobbies including fishing, hiking, camping, sewing and watching televised sports. She will be remembered for her love of her grandchildren and animals.
Joy is survived by her loving husband, Douglas Paulson of Kimball, NE; daughter, Marcela “Marcie” Sullenger (Trent Sumner) of Caldwell, ID; six siblings, Colleen, Martha, Kathy Greg, Florie and Karmen; and four grandchildren, Sierra, Katelyn, Lyndsey and Liam.
She is preceded in death by her parents and a half-brother, Daniel.
Family services will be held at a later date in Boise, Idaho. Cremation is under the care of Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home in Cheyenne.

Rodney E. Williams, 64, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2017, at the Cheyenne Regional Medical Center.
Rodney was born April 16, 1953, in Madisonville, Kentucky.
Services and interment will be held in Slaughters Cemetery, Slaughters, Kentucky. Local arrangements are under the care of Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home.

Justin Foster
Justin J. “Chop” Foster, 44, of Laramie, Wyoming, formerly Cheyenne, passed away suddenly at his home on Monday, August 7, 2017.
Justin was born March 11, 1973, in Cheyenne.
Justin worked throughout the State of Wyoming as an emergency medical services specialist for 19 years. His many interests include camping, fishing and caring for his beagles. He will be remembered as a loving husband and son who had a care-free spirit.
Justin is survived by wife, Marie Foster; grandmother, Therese Murray; and sister-in-law, Darlene Brookbank.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Kate (Murray) Foster and grandmother, Mary Foster.
A memory service will be celebrated on Thursday, August 17, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. at the Lakeview Chapel at Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home. A reception will follow the interment at the Schrader Reception Center.

Gail Ann Paiva, 74, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away August 6, 2017, at the Davis Hospice Center in Cheyenne.
Gail was born April 12, 1943, in Massachusetts.

Charles McKnight
Charles Henry “Charlie” McKnight left this world on August 15, 2017, at age 96, to be with his beloved wife Ramona Loyce, sons Thomas and Gary, his siblings and parents. He spent his last 7 years at the Cheyenne Wyoming VA Hospital’s Community Living Center.
Charlie was born in Houston, Texas on April 27, 1921. He served 25 years in the United States Air Force and served in WWII and Vietnam.
Charlie leaves behind one daughter and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed. His sense of humor and sharp mind, even at the ripe old age of 96, will forever be remembered and missed.
Services will be 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 23, 2017 in the Lakeview Chapel at Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home. Interment will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, CO.

Richard Fleck
Richard L. Fleck, 70, of Cheyenne, WY. passed away at home on August 16, 2017.
Richard was born on April 2, 1947, in Torrington, WY, a son of George and Iva (Huckfeldt) Fleck.
Richard graduated from East High School in 1965 where he was an all-around athlete. He was proud to serve his country in the Army during the Vietnam War. He loved fishing, boating, golfing, cooking and a great love for animals. Richard was a big fan of the Broncos, Rockies and the University of Wyoming.
Richard is survived by his ex-wife of 34 years, Holly Fleck; daughter, Brianna (Zach) Nelson; and beloved grandson, Drew Nelson.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and beloved grandchildren, Reid Nelson and Karling Nelson.
A memory will be held at on Thursday August 24, 2017 at 4:00p.m. at the Lakeview Chapel at Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Marston officiating.

Michael Dowling
Michael J. Dowling, 63, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away at Davis Hospice Center on Saturday August 19, 2017; a short 20 months after being diagnosed with brain cancer.
Michael was born October 20, 1953, in Sheridan, Wyoming, a son of James E. and Mary T. (Boca) Dowling. He graduated from Sheridan High School in 1972 and then headed to the University of Wyoming where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business management and economics in 1977. Michael married the love of his life, Beverly Copeland, in August of 1978. They had been across the street neighbors and friends from a very early age. It was a perfect love story that rarely exists.
After college and marriage, Michael and Beverly moved to Cheyenne, Wyoming to begin their careers and build their lives together. Michael started his banking career for the State of Wyoming as a bank examiner and continued working in the banking industry until 2016. He ended his career as the market president, senior relationship manager at US Bank in Cheyenne.
Michael was passionate about civic and service organizations in Cheyenne. He enjoyed volunteering with Cheyenne Frontier Days Public Relations Committee, Cheyenne Kiwanis Club, Cheyenne Frontier Days Heels Organization, Cheyenne Family YMCA, United Way, Cowboy Joe Club, UW Alumni Association and more. Mike was involved in the community and took extraordinary pride in his roles serving Cheyenne. He is a past president of both the Cheyenne Kiwanis Club and the Cheyenne Family YMCA, and past chairman of the Cheyenne-Laramie County Regional Planning Commission. Michael was a 1994 graduate of the Chamber’s Leadership Cheyenne program and a 2013 graduate of Leadership Wyoming. In 2015, Mike was named the Chamber’s Person of the Year, its highest and most prestigious award, for his lengthy record of outstanding achievement and his dedication and commitment to the community of Cheyenne.
Michael possessed a true zest for life. He worked hard so that he could enjoy his many passions. He enjoyed bird hunting, fishing, traveling, sports, and golf, but most of all spending time with his family and numerous friends. Mike loved to be out hunting with his three best bird dogs, Karl, Ru and Nesta. We hope wherever he is, the birds are plentiful and his shots don’t miss.
Michael is survived by his loving wife, Beverly E. Dowling of Cheyenne; four children, Margaret and Matthew Cox of Rawlins, WY, Elizabeth “Libby” and Joe Storc of Durango, CO, Matthew and Lisa Dowling of Cashmere, WA, and Michelle Dowling of Cheyenne; his mother, Mary T. Dowling of Sheridan, WY; five grandchildren, Ivy Storc, Gabrielle “Ella” Dowling, Abitha “Abi” Dowling, Grayson Cox and Caroline Cox; and brother, Patrick Dowling of Casper, father and mother in law, Roy and Louise Copeland of Cheyenne.
He is preceded in death by his father, James E. Dowling.
A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 23, 2017, at 3:00 p.m. at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Father August Koeune as celebrant. Cremation is under the care of Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home.

Marjorie McCann
Marjorie “Marge” McCann, 95, of Cheyenne passed away August 22, 2017 at Davis Hospice Center.
She was born July 22, 1922 in Dalton, Nebraska to Paul and Margaret Cramer. She graduated from Cheyenne High School in 1940 and married John T. McCann in May 1941 in Cheyenne. She was a homemaker, member of the First Presbyterian Church, former Treasurer of Wyoming Women’s Bowling Association 1964-1983, member Emeritus of Cheyenne Women’s Bowling Association, former President of Cheyenne Newcomers Club and a lifetime member of Cheyenne Frontier Days Old West Museum, being Volunteer of the Year in 1989.
She is survived by sons, Thomas (Donna) McCann, Kenneth McCann, Larry (Nancy) McCann and Dennis (Deb) McCann all of Cheyenne and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband John McCann; parents, Paul and Margaret Cramer; brothers, Erwin Cramer and Wayne Cramer and daughter-in-law, Kenneth’s late wife, Nancy.
Those who wish may contribute to the Cheyenne Frontier Days Old West Museum, Cheyenne Botanical Gardens or the Cheyenne Animal Shelter.

Charles "Chuck" Rohwer
Charles C. “Chuck” Rohwer, 85, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2017, at the Cheyenne Regional Medical Center.
Chuck was born August 28, 1931, in Radium, Colorado, son of the late Dietrich and Clara (Scherer) Rohwer.
Chuck worked as the Assistant Director of the Public Service Commission for the State of Wyoming until his retirement at the age of 55. He was also a successful businessman, owning several businesses. His interests included hunting, fishing, and working in his pole barn. He will be remembered for his generosity and for his love of family.
Chuck is survived by son, Randy Rohwer (Susan Shiery); three grandchildren, Mark (Tara) Rohwer, Chad (Arecia) Rohwer, and Tristan Rohwer, and their mother, Janice Rohwer; four great-grandchildren, Damon, Meadow, Cherise and Gage; two nephews, Ted and Rick Durante; and best friend, Larry Harnish of Cheyenne.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Maryann (Poe) Rohwer; two sisters; and one brother.
A memory service will be celebrated on Thursday, August 31, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. at the Lakeview Chapel at Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Beth El Cemetery.
Merle Watt
Merle E. Watt 67 of Cheyenne, WY passed away early Wednesday morning, August 23rd, after a short but valiant battle with cancer. Merle died at home surrounded by family and friends.
Merle was born to Lucile (Grapes) and Arthur Watt. He was born, grew up and attended school in Torrington, WY. After graduating from the University of Wyoming, Merle began his working career as a teacher. He soon moved into a very successful career in sales and continued that until retirement in November of 2014.
Merle was proceeded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife Kathy (Sexton), children Brian Blosmo (Jami), D’Lynn VanValkenburgh (Jim), Jarrod Blosmo (Tracey), Jason Blosmo (Angie), Jordan Watt (Tara), Liv Degerness (Chad Morgan), Danny Watt (Sarah), 20 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, sister Janet Hartwig (Gary) other relatives and innumerable friends.
His Celebration Of Life will be held on September 9th at 2:00 p.m. at his and Kathy’s home – 2486 County Road 218, Cheyenne, WY. Everyone is invited to share in this special remembrance.

Keith Regensberg
Keith K. Regensberg, 61, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away early Wednesday morning, August 23, 2017, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Keith was born July 4, 1956, in Las Vegas, New Mexico, a son of Stanley G. and Rosalie (Martinez) Regensberg.
Keith attended Luna Trade School in Las Vegas and also a trade school in Denver where he trained as a cement mason. He worked in the Bahamas, Denver and most recently in Cheyenne for Cook-McCann Concrete, Inc. He had a strong faith in Jesus Christ and enjoyed attended church daily. He also loved the outdoors where he fished, helped his mother garden, and enjoying painting. He will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and for his love of family and friends.
Keith is survived by his sons, Dr. David Rivera and Christopher Regensberg; his parents, Stanley and Rosalie Regensberg; four siblings, Randy Regensberg, Enid Lozano, Naomi Garcia and Jeff Regensberg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Vigil for the Deceased will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2017, at 7:30 p.m. at the Lakeview Chapel at Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home. Interment will be held at a later date in Holman, NM.
Kathryn Quinn
Kathryn Quinn, 70, of Cheyenne, died August 26, 2017 at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. She was born June 18, 1947, in Olympia, Washington. Cremation is under the care of Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home.
Stanley Rundquist
Stanley Lind Rundquist, 97, of Cheyenne left this world on August 27. He was the first born child to his Swedish immigrant father, Sigurd Rundquist and Norwegian immigrant mother, Emmy Lind in Bellingham, Washington.
Upon graduating from high school in Bellingham, Stan commercial fished with his father in Alaska then joined the CCC and with other young men constructed many buildings and facilities we enjoy to this day in Washington and Oregon parks.
Following the attack on Pearl Harbor, Stan enlisted in the Navy where he served on the USS Saratoga in the Pacific as an airplane mechanic and gunner.
Following the war, Stan went to work for the Boeing Company in Seattle where he met and married the love of his life, Dorothy Nixon. Stan and Dorothy had three children and raised them in various towns across the USA (most notably Cheyenne) with his various assignments for Boeing on the Minuteman Missile Program, as well as the 747 and 757 jetliners. Stan retired in 1982 after a full career with Boeing, and he and Dorothy bought a small farm near Warrensburg, Missouri that they enjoyed until moving back to Cheyenne in 2000.
Stan and Dorothy traveled the world in their retirement ultimately visiting all seven continents. Wherever Stan was, he was always active in the Presbyterian Church.
In addition to family, church and travel, Stan loved skiing, building and fixing stuff, gardening, raising horses, making toys for the grandkids, cribbage and playing the harmonica. To anyone who asked for his secret to longevity, he would reply:
“Good wife.
Good life.
Three great kids.
Good Scandinavian genes.
And, the good Lord on my side.”
Stan was preceded in death by his brother, Glenn of Denver, Colorado; sister, Opal Erickson of Seattle; and his wife of 65 years, Dorothy. He is survived by his children Anita Keen of Cheyenne; John of Helena, Montana, Janet Quinn of Evergreen, Colorado; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A family memorial will be held at a later time. In lieu of flowers contributions are suggested to the First Presbyterian Church of Cheyenne or Davis Hospice (6000 Sycamore Rd., Cheyenne, WY 82009).

Alice Harris
Alice M. Harris, 74, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away Monday, September 4, 2017, at the Cheyenne Regional Medical Center following a short battle with cancer.
Alice was born August 28, 1943, in Vancouver, Washington, a daughter of the late Eugene and Fern (Morrow) Parker.
Alice is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Ray Harris of Cheyenne; three daughters, Cindy Zeman of Cheyenne, and Jana Harris and Katy Yaney of Denver, CO; devoted grandmother to Justin and Curtis Zeman, Stephen and Sarah Yaney, and her two great grandchildren, Blain and Jace Zeman; beloved sister of Arlene Parker of Denver, Joyce Parker of Colorado Springs, CO, and June Pafford and Everett Parker of Cheyenne. Alice will be greatly missed by her many friends and family.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 10, 2017, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted on Monday, September 11th at 10:00 a.m. at Our Savior Lutheran Church. A private interment will be held at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.

Preble Lane Phelps, 87, of Cheyenne, Wyoming passed away on September 5, 2017.
Preble was born on January 16, 1930 in Garden City, Kansas to Earl and Rachel Phelps.
Preble is survived by six children, 18 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at Lakeview Cemetery at 2:00p.m. under the care of Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home.
A reception will follow the service from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Archer Complex Community Center in Cheyenne, Wyoming.

Aubryella Gunn
Aubryella Gunn, 4 months, of Cheyenne passed away September 3, 2017 at Denver’s Children’s Hospital.
She was born April 27, 2017 in Cheyenne and attended Holy Trinity Catholic Church with her family. She was always a happy baby and touched the lives of anybody who met her.
She is survived by her mother, Alizandria Gunn; grandparents, Kristina Croy & Aaron Casias and Moses and Laurie Gunn; great-grandparents, Kathy & Bob Ingleby, Walker & Kathy Gunn and Laura and John Smyth; great-great-grandparents, Maxine and Joe Webber; aunt, Arianna Casias all of Cheyenne as well as numerous other aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will start 4:00 p.m. Sunday in the Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral home followed by a Vigil for the Deceased at 7:00 p.m. in the Lakeview Chapel. A Funeral Liturgy will be 4:00 p.m. Monday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

Alexis A. Carter, 67, of Cheyenne passed away September 8, 2017 at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center.
She was born February 2, 1950 in Chicago, IL to Alexander and Frances (McClaugry) Mitchell. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ, Latter-day Saints, Eastridge Ward. Alexis worked at IYAH Learning Center, cooking meals and touching the lives of hundreds of families and their children from 2009-2014. She enjoyed spending time with her 5 grandchildren doing various craft projects, making jewelry and putting together large puzzles. She will be dearly missed by the lives that she touched and her furry companion, CoCo. We love you and miss you, Mom.
She is survived by her daughters, Michelle (Brandon) Kramer of Cheyenne and Heather Hodgman of Mesa, AZ; sister, Sharon Tuttle of Louisville, TX; grandchildren, Coledon Kramer, Eli Kramer, Baylee Hodgman, Nolan Kramer and Adalyn Kramer.

Shirley Stiefvater
Shirley F. Stiefvater, 68, of Cheyenne passed away September 8, 2017 at Davis Hospice Center, after a long battle with ovarian cancer.
She was born February 13, 1949 in Rock Springs, to Daniel and Cecelia Wilson. She married the love of her life, Norman Stiefvater, on July 18, 1970 in Rawlins, Wyoming. She taught at Dildine for over 20 years and loved all her kids. She loved camping, road trips, mowing the prairie, telling stories & cooking. She loved her family and spending time with them, especially her six grandchildren. Shirley was an incredible person who would go out of her way to help someone out. She will be dearly missed, but will make a wonderful angel.
She is survived by her husband, Norman of Cheyenne; children, Jennifer (Jeremy), Bryan (Heather) and Kelly (Boone); grandchildren, Josh, Jeff, Noah, Finley, Abby and Tyler.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
